Mongolia reminds me a lot of the highlands of Peru, especially the lands between Puno and Arequipa, it has its great emptiness, its outrageous sky blues, its beautiful camels, its nice people. The sense of solitude and endurance pervade the land and the people. Watching the JJTiziou slideshow make me feel at home.
The cities look like Juliaca, the horses as our mustangs, the people and their camels as the highlanders with their lamas, they even have the same hats!
Enjoy!
PD: If you don´t believe me of the resemblance of Mongolian and Peruvian highlands check the amazing photographs of James Aragón from the Cusco landscapes or the ones from Sarhua para el mundo from the hihglands of Ayacucho.
