French President Nicolas Sarkozy is asking the UN to award French cuisine Unesco humanity heritage status. A parliamentary fact-finding commission is currently hearing arguments from top chefs and specialists about France's candidacy for the status, but does French cuisine merit such a title?

Totalmente de acuerdo con la última opinión, la cocina como la cultura no se puede "frizar" en el tiempo, es algo que evoluciona. Que tal mejor dejar de lado las terribles políticas económicas de Sarkozy que abrirán el mercado francés a importaciones de alimentos, "disempower" a los agricultores pequeños y su política de incrementar las horas laborales que dejaran sin tiempo de disfrutar de la comida a lagente. Que tal si más bien se preocupan de que todos puedan comer bien y rico?
Ya me dió hambre quiero mi sopita de chuño.
